Position: MICE MANAGER Location: DUBAI
Core Responsibilities:
• Implementation of proper financial controls
• Achieve the financial targets of the MICE Division
• Ensure proper costings for quotation of MICE events to ensure profitability
• Interaction with our Travel Partners for sourcing MICE Business and generating profit thereof.
• Sourcing, Contracting with venues and suppliers and negotiating accordingly.
Job responsibilities:
• Supervise all enquiries (existing/new leads) in an accurate, appropriate and timely manner
• Supervise and support the MICE staff
• Ensure proper execution of the operations of all MICE events to the customers’ satisfaction and within budget
• Oversee all event proposals in line with company brand standards, inclusive of creativity and alignment with the company’s core values. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
• Ensure all bookings, passenger details, logistic information, internal notes and supplier notes updated on the systems
• Maintain thorough and up to date records of all bookings for easy access, filing and auditing purposes. Guide team to do the same.
• Coordinate proposals with various source market reservation team members
• Achieve monthly/quarterly sales and conversation targets
• Provide timely and accurate information and excellent support to external customers (agents, suppliers and clients)
• Suggest new and improved policies and processes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance
• Responsible for providing consultative support to our clients, and be in charge of the overall functioning of the Team.
• Must make recommendations that satisfy specifications and requirements as asked for by clients of different markets.
• Creating the perfect program, sending proposals with presentations where-ever required.
• Liaising with Venue suppliers and negotiations for the best rates and terms and conditions on behalf of the organization.
• Management of the engagement of third-party suppliers and the hotels.
• Coordinating with travel arrangements for the guests as required with concerned departments internally and externally with suppliers.
• Responsible for finding new business from various countries.
Skills and qualifications required:
• Minimum 5 years in the Travel Industry
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Excellent Organizational and administration skills
• Negotiation skills
• Creative and out of the box thinking
• Solid level of Maturity and professionalism to manage a program on the ground with the customer
• Excellent domestic, regional, and international travel experience
• Must be fully proficient with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Excellent understanding of MICE trends and tech used in MICE
• Minimum educational requirement of Bachelors / Master’s degree in Travel & Tourism would be preferred.
